A comparison of music teacher training programs applied in Turkey and Romania

Abstract (EN)

In the research, the programs implemented within the scope of the music teacher training system in Turkey and Romania were examined and the similarities and differences in the programs; It is aimed to compare the course name, course type, number of courses, course hours, course credits and course diversity. The research is a descriptive study and scanning model was used. The study group of the research consists of music teacher training programs implemented in Turkey and Romania. Relevant data were obtained by literature review and document review. Content analysis was applied to the obtained data. In line with the research findings, it has been determined that the courses applied in the music teacher training programs in Turkey and Romania were divided into types and included in the program in both countries, and this situation was similar in both countries in terms of classifying the courses, but the naming of the said course types was different in both countries. It has been concluded that the course names are mostly similar in the field education courses, and that the number of weekly course hours and credits in Turkey is more than in Romania, compared to less course hours.
