Abstract (EN)

With this study, inspecting the public hospital?s effectiveness and productivity is aimed. Especiallay recently , the purposes of giving high- quality health care service and gaining maximum favour insipite of restricted source are become priority for the public hospitals as well as all social insutitions. Turkey?s health transition Project and effectiveness of hospitals after alteration in health care sector became ainspectation subject. Planning about effort of increasing the productivity by the way of decreasing the inputs became important. Public hospital?s finansing and accountancy managemenets are obtained by revolding fund account in each city. Except of educational hospitals, public hospital?s personal dispersion is homogeneous. With this study, public hospitals?s effectiveness in 2005-2008 is measured by an approach of variable return to scale, input based data envelopment analysis and Malimquist total productivity index.İn the effectiveness research, two inputs and three outputs are used.With this study, public hospitals effectivenes?es are inspectated.According to findings, in this time public hospitals avarege of effectivenes has increased.Keywords: Finansing of public hospitals, Hospital Productuvity, Health Transformation Project, Effectiveness, Productuvity, Data Envelopment Analysis, Malmquist Total Factor Productuvity Index
