Özet (EN)
In this study, in order to investigate the relationship between health expenditures and some macroeconomic indicators (Inflation and Unemployment) in Turkey, annual health expenditures, GDP, inflation, and unemployment figures for the period 1999-2021 were taken and Structural Break Unit Root Test, Granger Causality Test and Regression Model were applied. As a result of the Granger Causality Test, it is determined that there is a unidirectional Granger causality between health expenditures/GDP ratio and unemployment. According to the Regression Model results, the model is significant, 65.7% of the changes in health expenditures/GDP ratio are explained by inflation, unemployment, and structural break dummy variable and there is a positive directional relationship between unemployment and health expenditures/GDP ratio.
