In consumer society, which is based on spirit of capitalism, the individual is encouraged to act and live with the aim of consumption through the devices of cultural industry. Through globalisation, consumption is creating similar lifestyles in all countries and global consumption brands, even if fake, are used as a means of high status. Indiviuals are leaning towards consumption in order to be accepted in the society, prove that they dress well, follow the fashion, in other words to keep up with the times. At this point, tv series, play an critic role in creating a demand for consumption and build new consumption habits among the audience as well as evoking their emotions, desires and dreams related the consumption. Companies present and advertise their consumer goods and services through tv series characters and create a wish for purchase. The contention of this thesis that, the imposition of consumption tendencies and lifestyles arising from the "false needs" created by TV series in the mass media; especially through new instrumental mechanisms produced by internet technology. The standardized lifestyles and desire for consumption driven by television and series of films have become much faster in terms of collecting and shaping the society through internet and mobile applications and at this point they have taken the "self-determination" process of their consumption and needs determination given examples.
