The conteps on education of art in Turkey

Education of art, having derived from the appearance of the educational dimension of art which is considered to be the document reflecting the historical data of a society, is a neccessity of modern life, today. The education of art which intent to grow up sensitive, creative and well-rounded people, had taken place in the formal education system. But art education is seen needless and significant lesson and not sensed as a discipline.At the basic of this problem, it lies not apprehend the importance of the education of art. Not to be understood of importance of art education is primarily is due to recognizing of necessity of art education. Necessity of art education has came into with the social, political and economical cases and all of these processes has reflected art education theory, programs and practises. There has been different structuring in art and education due to the social , political and economical processes that has been experienced in Turkey and World , the art education is positioned in that structuring. By this research, starting from the effects of changes and developments in political and economic structures on art and education, discovery of their education of art perception is thought through investigation of developments in Turkey, together with the effects of these concepts on education of art. Together with expressing the past and education which have importance in the education of individuals who are capable of adjusting to the continuously chancing era, and the increasing importance of the art which reflects the era itself, in order to perceive the education of art, which is important in educating individuals who are modern, creative and productive, in the right way as understanding the past, commenting on today and lightening the future, and to put it to its deserved place, primarily, the government has to develop a modern culture and education policy. We need right and true perceptions to develop this mentioned education of art policy. The investigation is composed of five section. At the first section, it is explained, art, education and education of art. At the second section, the historical stage of development of education of art is researched as prior to twentieth and after twentieth century. At the third section, with the historical developments prior to republic and after republic, to determine the position of education of art better today, by analysing the applied programs of education of art, it is tried to determine the position of education of art in formal education. At the fourth section, the factors that affect education of art, it is analysed generally with the subtitle of political, social and economical. And at the fifth section ,how the development of structure of political ,social and economical that exist in Türkiye affect the education of art prior to 1950 and after 1950.
