Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to indicate reasons why enterprises those are in industrysector in Turkey builds strategic alliances, to find out factors which effects strategicalliances success and to determine achievement levels of strategic alliances.In order to collect data, firstly 1000 company names which were taken from ministryof economy has been analyzed, secondly other companies those are in The IstanbulChamber of Industry (ISO) list were investigated on the internet to find outinformation about their partnership.At last of study, data has been collected from 109 different managers who work atcompanies which makes strategic alliances via questionnaire. If we put in order mostpopular foreign partners are 1) Germany 2) England 3) China and Spain respectively.The most popular type of strategic alliances is joint venture second rank belongs toMarketing Cooperation and technical cooperation is in the third rank.Targets of making strategic alliances are competitiveness, innovativeness andlearning, increasing marketspace and financial reasons respectively. The factors whichdetermine strategic alliances success are found 6 types. These are knowledge sharingharmony-coordination, dependence on each other, loyalty and knowledge sharing,way out of conflict, trust-coordination.Coordination is the most effective tool for grow potential among strategic alliancessuccess factors. Dependence on each other and way out of conflict are explanatory forgeneral contentedness. Innovativeness and learning, dependence on each other andway out of conflict influences cooperative performance.
