Investigation of the effects of social behavior on the solution of public transportation problems in Turkish cities in the planning contex: The case study Izmir-Karsiyaka

Growing cities are causing some issues in present World and transportation is the prior one. In recent cities people need to be mobil to satisfy their needs such as work, education, entertainment etc. With growing cities and advancing technology the quantitiy of connectivity in cities increased and varied. Transportation systems are making transport possible in cities with private and public transports. That kind of transportation system serving people to take them places they want with predetermined prices. Thereby they cause less traffic jams, less harm for environment and at the same time taking people where they want. The study is examing how city transport which caused of rising public transport has changed in the World, Turkey and Izmir. It also shows us varying of transport systems by this change and also policies that directly affected that process. Study also explains how domestic transport systems works, transport types which creates the system, characteristics of that types and succes level on that relative groups. So that it explains how society behave affects preferences on transportation type. On that purpose the transport systems in Karşıyaka district has been examined and detected results from autobus, minibus, IZBAN, taxibuses shown clearly in that study. According to results some renovations applied for routes of autobus, minibüs, IZBAN and taxibuses and some suggestions offered fort hat system to run it more systematic and serve better. With all that works and suggestions it assumed that in the future while editing all Izmir domestic transport system it will be useful and practical.
