Özet (EN)

Many states have ruled in Anatolia throughout history. One of these states was the Seljuk State of Turkey (1075-1308), known as Selâcıka-ı Rûm and Selcûkıyân-ı Rûm in its own sources. Sufism was one of the most important cultural elements in the Seljuk period, which witnessed political, social, economic and scientific growth. The activities of the zawiyas spread to almost every corner of the country, especially in non-Muslim centres, and the sufis serving in them are among the indicators that sufism was an effective movement in Seljuk lands. Seljuk zawiyas took their place among the important places of the period with their scientific, social and cultural functions.
