Analysis of the social security system reform process in Turkey

Regardless of income levels, social security that is providing economic security to people in the face of certain social risks has become more important particularly with the industrial revolution. Because the effect of mechanization and industrialization with the workers' working life, was faced with more risks. The first steps of this venue were taken in the 1880s years of Bismark Germany. The compulsory social insurance technique has been implemented to protect worker?s section from the risks of working life. Social insurance that was established by the State and based on the principle of obligations is the most important and effective tool to carry out for the purpose of social security system.There were problems with the social security system in Turkey, where the need for a radical reform in this regard have been expressed more intensely since the 1990s. The experienced financial problems in the social security system creates pressure on public funding, therefore, especially in inflation it has also negative impact on other key economic indicators.This study within the framework of social security system problems intended to make analysis of reforms on people who are retired at an early age, continuous amnesty laws, high levels of informal employment, evalulation on unproductive areas of collected funds, the system that is not fully autonomous administrative aspect of financial situation and similar problems such as lack of investigation and to address these issues.In order to provide a better understanding of the study, necessary issues are taken into consideration.
