Evaluation of agricultural institutions and organizations in Turkey from the farmers' perspective

Abstract (EN)

The primary data of this research, which was carried out in order to evaluate agricultural establishments and organizations in Turkey from the perspective of farmers; It was obtained from 407 agricultural operators in the provinces of Konya, Ankara, Kırşehir, Sivas, Mersin and Adana through a survey in 2021. The average age is 45.80 years, the experience period is 27.88 years, the number of family members working in agriculture is 2.36, 14.70% of them have university education, 46.20% are only in the village, 29.00% 61.70% of them are members of a producer organization, 92.90% are tractor owners, 53.30% are animal husbandry, 66% It was determined that ,10 of them used agricultural loans. Producers stated that they were most satisfied with their services as the Turkish Grain Board with 36.80% satisfaction. The Turkish Grain Board was the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives with 12.90%, Ziraat Bank with 10.60%. Chamber of Agriculture with 7.90% and research institutions with 7.00%, Chamber of Agricultural Engineers with 31.40%, universities-faculties with 27.20%, District Agriculture Directorate with 13.50% were evaluated as institutions that were not satisfied with their services. Producers mostly complain about the high input prices. According to the results of Kruskal-Wallis and logistic regression analysis, the factors affecting the satisfaction level of producers from the services of agricultural organizations were determined as the income level of the producer, the size of the enterprise, and the level of input prices.
