Özet (EN)

The purpose of this study was conducted at the Field Crops Department of Agricultural Faculty of Cukurova University during the years of 2005 and 2006 was to determine morphological, and molecular diversity among ten common vetch cultivars registered in Turkey. Morphological diversity was studied in the field experiment arranged in randomized complete block design with three replications at the research area of Field Crops Department. Molecular diversity was studied by using 12 of ISSR primers. The results of the study showed that the cultivars studied were statistically significant different in plant height, stem length, number of leaves on lengthiest stem of plant, number of leaflets per leaf, days to 50 % flowering, number of pods per plant, pod length, 1000 seed weight and seed yield per plant. According to the Jaccard?s similarity index, similarity between cultivars ranged from a minimum of 0.365 to a maximum of 0.62, the average being 0.52. From these coefficient values, it was concluded that cultivar Cumhuriyet -99 with cultivar Emir and cultivar Nilüfer with cultivar Ürem-79 were close related cultivars. Cultivar Kubilay-82 and Karaelçi were distant related cultivars. In the dendrogram obtained from the similarity index data plants of ten cultivars formed two main groups, as A and B. There were two sub-groups In the group A. All plants of the cultivars Selçuk-99, Bakır-2001, Cumhuriyet-99 , some plants of cultivars Alınoğlu-2001 and Emir fell in to sub-group of AI while all plants of Nilüfer, Ürem-79 and Kubilay-82 and some plants of Emir fell into subgroup of AII. The group B was occupied by the plants of Farukbey-2001 and Karaelçi, and one plant of Alınoğlu-2001. KeyWords: Vicia sativa, Morphological characters, Agricultural Characters, ISSR Markers
