Abstract (EN)
The theoretical background of this study is shaped by three concepts/subjects: verbs as a type of word, manner of action as a verbs inner semantic feature and senses as a perception ability. Human beings have developed a series of complex systems to perceive and make sense of the world and sense organs are at the forefront of these systems. It is possible to say that traditional classifications of the types of senses are based on the five basic senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch (external senses). However, in addition to external senses, there are also inner senses that are just as functional. In classifications inner senses are line as follows: heat (warmth-coldness), pain, itching and tickling, vibration, proprioceptive (position), intuition, hunger and satiety, dehydration, nausea, micturition and defecation, vomiting, belching and flatulation senses. Naturally, there are many verbs associated with these senses. The subject of this study is to make a current classification of inner senses and to identify inner sense verbs based on this classification. In the second part of the study, based on the aforementioned classification, inner sense verbs in Türkiye Turkish were scanned from the TDK Güncel Türkçe Sözlük and manner of action feature of detected each verbs identified were also. Accordingly, a total of 266 verbs identified in fourteen headings of inner senses were line as proprioceptive, pain, heat, micturition and defecation sense verbs etc. and it was determined that these verbs generally exhibit the following manner of action based feature: dynamic non-transformative, non-dynamic non-transformative, initiotransformative, non-momentaneous finitransformative, momentaneous finitransformative.
