The effect of drug user profile and drug use on general safety in Turkey

Drugs is one of the main problems of more than one criminal element that triggers the internal security problem today. There are multiple factors that cause people to start using drugs, such as family problems, circle of friends, sense of curiosity, feeling of loneliness, economic problems etc. However, after starting this substance, the person starts to increase the dosage of this substance after a certain period of time, and then becomes addicted to this substance. The person who uses drugs turns into a hand grenade, so to speak. It basically starts with himself and turns into a level that threatens his family, friends and country security. The person who uses drugs does not only use drugs, but also gets involved in more than one crime due to the effect of this substance. It shows its effect from the simplest crimes to the most notorious crimes. After a while, laziness occurs in the body of the person who uses drugs due to the effect of the substance. By this laziness, the person who uses drugs loses the economic freedom necessary to make a living. Since an economic income is needed to obtain drugs, a person who loses his normal economic freedom while under the influence of drugs will also have more economic problems because he cannot obtain the drug in this way. In order to provide this economic power, it will turn to all kinds of crimes, and after a while, these types of crimes will become a habit. At first, his own family, then his close circle, will turn to ways of obtaining drugs by harming people he does not know as the next step. He will appear as an excluded individual in society. In Turkey, in order to avoid this situation, it is struggling with this issue by organizing various seminars, especially the educational institution, by establishing treatment centers and mobilizing various institutions, especially the law enforcement agencies. Before the law, measures are taken to deter penalties in different articles of law. The use of drugs threatens the internal security of the country. Drug use is never a crime on its own, it is linked to more than one crime.
