Abstract (EN)
In this study, the morphology of periferal blood cells (erythrocytes, leukocytes and platelets)of gekkonid lizard species (Asaccus barani, Mediodactylus heterocercus, Mediodactylus kotschyi, Cyrtopodion scaber, Hemidactylus turcicus, Stenodactylus grandiceps) living in Turkey were studied in blood smears prepared with the Wright 's stain. It has determined that different variations in terms of size of erythrocytes and leukocytes, lacertid and gekkonid are similar when considering the Nucleocytoplasmic rate, lymphocytes were dominant than the leukocyte cells in blood smear preparations, nuclei ofeosinophils and basophils are not obviousbecause of intense granulation in their cytoplasm, platelets are spindleshaped cells. Key words: Gekkonidae, blood cell morphology, blood smear, a light microscope.
