Abstract (EN)
Ketencik (Camelina sativa L. Crantz) is one of the 7 widely known species of Camelina in the Brassicaceae family and is the only species of economic importance in the genus Camelina. Camelina sativa, is an oil plant that may be difficult to evaluate alternative field in Turkey. Camelina sativa has been used as a source of oil in Europe for many years and as a feed for livestock; has increased its popularity in recent years as a source of biodiesel due to its fat (%28-45) content. In addition, phytochemicals produced by the ketencik plant ensure that the plant is resistant to many diseases and pests. In this study, oil extracts obtained from Camelina sativa L. Crantz (ketencik) seed, antimicrobial and antibiotics activities by using disk diffusion method Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Proteus vulgaris, Escherichia coli CFAI, Serratia marrescens, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Alfa Streptokok haemolyticus, Enterococcus faecium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Listeria monocytogenes, Enterococcus durans, Salmonella kentucky, Enterobacter aerogenes, Salmonella infantis, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Enterococcus faecalis, Listeria innocua, Salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella typhimurium, It was tested on Bacillus subtilis bacteria and Candida albicans fungus. In addition, disc diffusion method used to determine antimicrobial activity was supported by minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) methods. In the evaluation of biofilm formation (antibiotics) activities of plant extracts, crystal violet binding method was used. To investigate the antioxidant activity of seed oil extracts, DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) radical removal method was used. In addition, stereomicroscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM) were used to determine morphology characteristics of ketencik seed. As a result, in order to determine antimicrobial activity, Staphylococcus epidermidis was found to be the most sensitive bacterium against seed oil extracts. Ketencik seed oil extracts have been found to be less effective in bacteria than Enterobacter aerogenes and fungal species in Candida albicans. In the antioxidant study, the results of the extracts obtained from the seed obtained from the seed were compared to the standard substance; fat extracts did not show high activity. Also, the seed oil extract had a higher antioxidant effect than the other concentrations of 40 µl/ml. Camelina sativa seed oil extracts showed the highest antibiotic activity against Salmonella infantis and inhibited biofilm formation by %47,45 at a concentration of 80 µl/ml. None of the concentrations of seed oil extracts showed antibiotic activity against Bacillus subtilis microorganism.
