Abstract (EN)

In this study, different regions and locations of the seed cotton samples withdrawn from the examination of fibers and oil quality in Turkey, comparison was carried out to study the effect on fiber quality of oil quality. The experimental design was the randomized complete plot design and coefficients between fiber quality and cotton oil quality. In 2018, the cotton materials of DP 332, Flash, Gloria and SG 125 varieties taken from different locations in Aegean-Çukurova Region and the cotton materials of DP 396, Lider Mig 119, ST 468 varieties taken from different locations in Southeastern Anatolia Region were examined for fiber and oil quality. As a result of the data obtained, Gloria is among the genotypes in the Aegean-Çukurova Region, with its fiber quality. However, a genotype that makes a difference in the Southeast Anatolia Region could not be identified. Location, genotype and genotype × location interaction, ginning percentage, 100 seed weight, fiber fineness, fiber length, short fiber index, fiber strength and yellowness are important in the Aegean-Çukurova Region. The effect of location, genotype and genotype × location interactions on fiber fineness, short fiber content and fiber elasticity was found to be important in Southeast Anatolia Region. The fact that cotton oil was high in the genotypes grown in Aydın-Koçarlı location in the Aegean Region revealed its importance in the region.
