Abstract (EN)

In the high inflation period ( 1983-2003 ) major agricultural product?s whichinclude 9 plant products and 3 animal products prices and related major inputs priceswere analyzed in Turkey Product?s and inputs? current and real prices werecompared and products-inputs parities were computed in framework of analysis.While read prices of tomato, lentil, potato, sugar beet, raisin, wheat and meatwere increased successively, read prices of sunflower, cotton, egg, milk and tobaccowere decreased successively by rate of decrease . All related agricultural Inputs? realprices were increased except feed?s prices in the period.Generally high inflation has negatively affected agricultural products inputpurchasing power by means of product?s input?s price parities in 1983-2003 period.This negative effect were observed most severely on sunflower, cotton tobacco, eggand milk successively and slightly on tomato lentil, potato, super beet and meatsuccessively.Keywords: Inflation, Internal rate of Trade, utput-input price parities.II
