Abstract (EN)
High-speed railway lines, which are one of the symbols representing the beginning of the modern age, developed depending on the technical advances in railways, started a new era in passenger transportation. In Turkey, both nationally and in the near and medium-term economic and social opportunities to take advantage of the high-speed train services are continuing links with international investment. Since 2009, the high-speed rail service is located 1,213 km pipeline opens in Turkey is 1,900 kilometers removal of these lines is planned until 2023. In this study, in the case of high-speed rail transportation in Turkey were examined. Management of high-speed railways in Turkey as of the end of the study the current situation has been shown to be economically profitable and supported with public funds. This, the most important reason in the world examples of high-speed railways in Turkey is not quite the time to be able to hear the new requirements are expected to be the continuation of benefits and investments. It has been observed that high-speed railways can become profitable in the near and medium term when the targeted investments are completed and with a successful operation.
