The impact of the period of compulsory education in Turkey on the service sector: The case of Trabzon industry

In this study, the effect of the compulsory education period on the service sector was examined in terms of the demographic characteristics of service workers. In the first chapter, the concept of service, history, features and classification are mentioned. In the second part, compulsory education in world countries and in Turkey, the number of years of compulsory education in Turkey and G-20 countries. In the third part, the research conducted in the Trabzon Industry regarding the effect of the compulsory education period on the service sector was included. A face-to-face survey was conducted with 220 service workers for this purpose. In the analysis of the questionnaires frequency distribution, t-test and univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) tests were used. The most important result of this reseacrh is; service workers must have a belief that the length of compulsory education will be long enough to cause the master to fail in the future. In particular, employers and masters have tackled the problem of not finding an apprentice to continue their profession in order to ensure that the duration of compulsory education is long.
