Abstract (EN)

Today, the need for energy is increasing rapidly due to the rapid increase in the world population and production. Energy resources such as coal, natural gas and oil are rapidly depleting. At the same time, these sources cause serious damage to the environment. The most important of these is CO2 emissions. With the developing technology, the prices of solar panels have decreased considerably and at the same time the efficiency rates have increased. With the legal legislation enacted on May 12, 2019 in Turkey, our state has set off with a 10-year energy purchase guarantee. Turkey is a very favorable country for photovoltaic (PV) systems. The most important aim of this thesis is to raise the awareness of investors on this issue. Investors in their homes, factories, businesses, etc. is to encourage the installation of PV systems in residential areas within the scope of the regulation. Cost analysis of PV systems, recycling times and the effects of carbon emissions on the environment are the subjects covered in this study. In Düzce, one of our provinces with the lowest sunshine duration, investment costs and payback periods for real house, factory and business subscriptions were analyzed separately. For 7 Regions and 7 Provinces in our country, PV systems were designed for three subscription types in random coordinates, cost calculations were made, payback periods were calculated, and it was discussed whether the investment was suitable or not. Calculations were made with the help of Matlab program written for PV system calculations.
