The projects of urban transformation in Turkey (an example of Municipal Altındag)

Turkey is the under of the effects both sectorel and social with the reason of urban transformation that has been nowadays. From the beginning of 1950?s the increasing migration reason, has been standing out as the main reason of urban problems. The economical and social problems that were seen with the migration affected the people?s lives and squattering has been increasing rapidly. Consequently squattering has brought the shoody living places. Altındag which has been in Ankara was chosen as searching area in this study because of its parallelism.It has a rich quality with its study areas, natural and historical values. But casually and unplanned building shows it as a city which doesn?t have less unlively. This problem has been especially seen in Altındağ district. Beside this districts has been standing out as quality and nearness to the city as development. In the areas that were searched, the things that will certainly first done, to find out the necessary investment and sources to move the people to the new life places, to supply new areas that have health and all necessary and equipment and to supply the main target about how can the transformation be done.The aim of this study is to examine and understand the functions of renewing projects and transformation projects and to compare with the examples that are from our country and the world and the continue them and the searching of the practicability. Depending on this, the pilot areas that were chosen from, Altındağ district were examined with their urban renewing and transformation situations and the result was standed out the study which is `Altındağ Urban Transformation Project? has been doing as the same other projects that are in our country and in the world.Key Words:1.Urban Renewal2.
