Abstract (EN)

Türkoğlu (Kahramanmaraş) Fe mineralization is accompanied by serpentinized harzburgites and serpentinites bound to ophiolites which are exposed to the region. As a result of ore microscopy examinations, magnetite, hematite, limonite, goethite and gold minerals were determined. SiO2 values ranged from 86,47 to 2,91, with an average of 47,38 %. Mg is between 29,6 % and 0,05 % with an average of 5,3 %. The mean Si / Mg ratio was 4.8 and the Fe content 4,27-89,1 %. As a result of XRD analysis, clay minerals such as quartz, montmorillonite, Notronite and kaolinite were determined. The presence of Ni indicates that the ore is formed in the type C class in the later Fe-Ni class. According to the geological, petrographical and geochemical data, the mineralization of the region is due to the lateritization of the Fe mineralization resulting from the decomposition of the Harzburjites belonging to the ophiolitic rocks. Higher values were determined for Ni mineralization, but widespread economic results were limited.
