The effects on the non addicted of adults of the fight against tobacco

Every country starts to make studies on counter smoking supported by their own laws, despite the increase on smoking addiction day by day. In our country, there are many works of law which are applied under the law 4207 Preventing and Controlling The Damages of Tobacco Products. In the research, considering the articles of the law 4207, the work on covering the law is analyzed with a survey study which is about the effects on randomly selected adults who smoke or give up smoking, in the European side of Istanbul. In surveys, one hundred and nine study surveys are taken under review. One hundred and ten men and ninety nine women joined the survey. Participators' age ranges, educational backgrounds, marital status, jobs, daily smoking rates, the ages to start smoking, the reasons for smoking initiation, the information about the law, willingness to stop smoking and the effect of the law on their willingness of smoking cessation were examined. Within the results obtained, smokers are under the influence of the law however this effect is limited.
