The increase in the number of free markets, the standing of different producer groups in these markets, the rapid development of technology and spread of information causes the producers to turn to different, scientific and new methods. Important developments happened by the start of utilizing computer-aided systems in ready wear sector.These developments goes on with computer-aided three dimensional body scanner systems and quality improvement efforts through the application of cast design. In order to develop a problem-free cast and the casts to be in desired form, three dimensional body scanners make importance. The utilization of three dimensional systems in ready wear sector provides advantage creating difference and efficiency among the competitors.The purpose of this study is to emphasize the problems occuring because of the lack of standart body measures in our country and to determine the differences among the three dimensional (3D) body scanner systems and problems in practical process and to advice solutions about these subjects.The universe of this research is made of the organizations using three dimensional (3D) design systems among organizations operating in ready wear sector in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir and related sources. The samples of the research consist of the companies which could be reached by the researcher, using three dimensional (3D) body scanner systems.Processing the research the survey method is applied. The publications and studies about three dimensional (3D) body scanner systems were examined within the subject screening process. Among the reached organizations it is determined that a company producing ready wear and Istanbul Fashion Academy which trains in textile and fashion use three dimensional body scanner systems. The data in the research is obtained by direct dialogue method with the operating stuff in person who uses three dimensional body scanner systems.Necessary corrections on dialogue form were made by the opinions of specialists after the first drafts initially prepared by the researcher.In the final analysis of the research it is concluded that the three dimensional (3D) body scanner systems shorten the pre-production term of the imagined wear, provide faster and more flexible work opoortunity for the user in re-dimensioning and serializing the wear thanks to parametric data, and the possibility of having faults in the cast becomes very low.
