Free vibration analysis of PLA-based plates with different infill patterns produced by a three-D printer

Abstract (EN)

In this study, the analysis and comparison of free vibration frequencies of PLA material-based plates with different cross-sections produced with a three-dimensional printer with experimental tests were investigated. Each of the 190x190 mm PLA samples produced with a three-dimensional printer has different cross-sections. These sections were produced in two different densities as triangular structure, square structure, hexagonal structure and fully filled, and also the internal density ratios of the structures were 20% and 60%. Plates were each attached to supports so that they could vibrate freely and subjected to sinus scanning produced by the modal shaker. Natural frequencies were determined as a result of the Frequency-amplitude graphs obtained as a result of the experiment. The natural frequencies found for each plate were compared with each other. In the comparison of the experimental results, it was seen that the highest frequencies could be obtained from the triangle, square, honeycomb and filled section plates, respectively. In addition, it was determined that the frequencies of the internal structures with two different densities were higher than the frequencies at 20% density, compared to the frequencies at 60% density.
