Abstract (EN)

In this work, two-dimensional finite element analyses and one-dimensional soil dynamic response analyses were performed. The subway system of İzmir has been constructed recently. It has been investigated that tunnel and station excavation effects on the buildings which located in the neighborhood of subway line. In the course of time, new and higher buildings are being constructed instead of those present old buildings which lay on the subway line. Sometimes these constructions may be so close to the tunnel and stations of the subway system. These constructions may have influences on the stability of tunnel and stations of the subway system. In this work, a case study from İzmir subway was analysed and investigated whether the construction of new buildings instead of the older ones has any influences on the stability of the Fahrettin Altay and Poligon subway stations Soil dynamic response analysis were performed for one-dimensional and equivalent linear model. Spectral accelerations, soil magnificaion of earthquake waves and natural soil periods were determined with one-dimensional and equivalent linear dynamic analyses. Five accelerograms which were recorded during nearby (<100 km) earthquakes in the past, were used in the analyses as input data. The accelerograms were scaled as their maximum acceleration values to be 0.1 g, 02.g and 0.4g. Low acceleration values represent minor earthquakes at close distance and sever earthquakes at long distance. The high acceleration values represent sever earthquakes at close distance.
