The quality of labour power in the wage labour capital relation

Labour is the most basic form of the relationship between nature and man to meet human needs. This relationship takes place as a process by which man transforms nature by effectively using power and means of labour. In the form of capitalist production, these elements of the labour process, namely the means of labour and the power of labour, are separated from each other. The essence of the capitalist mode of production is the relationship between wage labour and capital, and the basis of this relationship is the ownership of the means of production only in the hands of particular individuals. For this reason, the labourer without the means of production and substance had to sell his labour. And labour becomes a commodity. The same labour force was reduced to a production factor for the capitalist who bought this commodity for use in production, just like the means of production it holds. The specificity of labour-power in terms of capital is that, unlike other factors of production, it can create surplus value. Therefore, the quality of labour-power in the wage-labour-capital relation is that it can produce surplus value. This labour force is also continuously reproducing the conditions that make itself a wage labourer against capital. The subject of our study is to analyse how this process has evolved in the historical context. As a result of our study, we may conclude that these conditions have not improved but intensified in contemporary capitalism.
