Abstract (EN)
From past to present, women have been in a constant struggle against inequalities in social, political, economic and legal fields. Following the Enlightenment period, from the middle of the 19th century, women increased their struggle for their existence, equal status with men, equal rights and freedoms; They took a stand against gender discrimination and defended their legitimate rights at the universal and individual level by arguing that the pressures and controls they were exposed to in public and private areas should be abolished. Feminism, which has developed within the scope of the struggles women have continued since the 1960s to get rid of the oppression of the patriarchal social order, has historically been divided into 3 waves. In the period from the 19th century to the 21st century, women in the feminism movement benefited from various theories and ideologies at the intellectual and operational level. As a result, different feminist approaches have emerged and each of these approaches has contributed to the political literature in its own way. Third wave feminism deals with the problems faced by women in the fields of politics, economy, law, social life and culture with a micro-political approach. Third Wave feminism takes a more detailed approach, rejecting the general approach of previous feminist waves to the aforementioned issues. Because, third wave feminism evaluates events with a more specific approach, based on the acceptance that people living in different societies or cultures will have different problems. In addition, third wave feminism covers the issues that previous feminist waves dealt with, but also touches on much more diverse issues than these waves. In this study, the reflections of third wave feminism in Turkey were examined and the changes and transformations brought about by this wave in Turkish society were examined and evaluated with the literature review method.
