Abstract (EN)

This research aimed to reveal the trends of the studies in the field of classroom education science education published in journals scanned in ULAKBIM between 2006-2020. Descriptive content analysis from qualitative research approaches was conducted. As a data collection tool, the "Article Classification Form" developed by Sözbilir and Kutu (2008) was revised and used. Within the scope of the research, the keywords "clasroom education" "science education", "research trends", "descriptive content analysis" published in the National Academic Network and Science Center (ULAKBİM) between 2006 and 2020 were searched. In the first literature review, 1097 studies were reached and 111 articles were determined by evaluating the studies in line with the inclusion criteria. In order to find answers to the problems and sub-problems of the research, information such as the subjects of the articles, the years they were published, the journals they were published, the research design / method, data collection tools, sampling and data analysis methods were determined. These data were recorded in the Microsoft Excel program. Frequency and percentage values were calculated by using descriptive statistics. In this study, (Reliability = Consensus / (Consensus + Disagreement), suggested by Miles and Huberman (1994), was used and the rate of agreement between coders was determined as 90%. When the findings obtained as a result of this study are evaluated, the opinions of prospective elementary school teachers about science lessons are the most studied subject (f = 39). This is followed by study subjects such as the investigation of self-efficacy beliefs of elemantary scool teachers and prospective elemantary scool teachers in learning - teaching science (f = 16), attitude / perception (f = 21), and science programs and lessons (f = 10). Although it is seen that all articles included in the scope of the research provide a wealth of subjects in the field of classroom education, it has been observed that new and original studies are needed in the field of science in classroom education. When the distribution of studies in the field of classroom education science by years is examined, it was determined that the most research was conducted in 2018 (f = 15). In addition, in the reviewed studies, it is seen that the quantitative method (f = 51) was used mostly, followed by the qualitative method (f = 47), and the mixed method was used at least (f = 13). In addition, it was concluded that the scale (f = 54) was mostly used as the data collection tool in the studies, generally the prospective elemantary scool teachers were preferred as the sample (f = 52), and the studies were generally conducted with a sample size of 1-100 (f = 45). The findings obtained from this study are important in terms of determining the research tendencies of the articles in the field of science in classroom education and revealing the general character of the field.
