Perception of RDA and studies conducted in our country: Preparation of cataloging policy at national level

This study provides insights into the implementation of RDA (Resource Description and Access) in libraries and information institutions, along with recommendations for its effective adoption. Initially, the basic principles and objectives of RDA are explained. Subsequently, the importance of RDA in libraries and information institutions is emphasized. These standards aim to facilitate more effective identification and accessibility of information resources and to enhance users' ease of access to information. The study addresses various strategies for implementing RDA (Resource Description and Access) in libraries and information institutions. These strategies include staff training, strengthening technological infrastructure, revising workflows, and evaluating user feedback. Staff training is critical for understanding and correctly applying RDA standards. The technological infrastructure must be updated to support the new processes and data formats required by RDA. Revising workflows facilitates the integration of RDA-compliant cataloging processes, while user feedback ensures continuous improvement. The research emphasizes the importance of the widespread acceptance and implementation of RDA in libraries and information institutions. Proper adoption of these standards can help better organize information resources and make it easier for users to access information, thereby enabling information institutions to more effectively fulfill their mission.
