Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to reveal the situation of inclusive education applied to Turkey with review of the literature and the level of primary mathematics of this situation.The study was carried out to determine the existing situation and a descriptive study was followed for this research.The research consists of 35 teachers and 11 inclusive student selected from randomly chosen schools in the village, district and the city center in Elazığ .The data of research was collected in three stages. In the first stage, the information, the education and the attitude of teachers about inclusive education and the level of inclusive education for these teachers was investigated. For this stage, unstructured interviews with the teachers were carried out. In the second stage, the middle school math teachers were interviewed. Also, unstructured interviews with eight math teachers were carried out. It was investigated whether teachers get efficiency from inclusive students, subjects the most difficult and attitudes towards mathematics for students. In the last stage, unstructured interviews with the inclusivestudents were carried out. Also, attitudes towards mathematics and subjects the most difficult for inclusive students and then whether education is useful for them was investigated.Result of the research revealed that knowledge of teachers about inclusive education is inadequate. According to interviews carried out with math teachers, teachers need to reify and visuals. Also, According to interviews carried out with students, it was concluded that students like school but forgot subjects learned including mathematics.
