Abstract (EN)
Urban furniture has been a subject of research and international competitions in recent years. It is not only a need, but also a quest that arises as a result of increasing the value given to aesthetics and art in societies with increasing levels of education and welfare. People are demanding technological, easy-to-use and unobstructed equipment that will address today's needs, as well as the social identity of the city in public spaces such as parks, gardens, city centers, etc., which they adopt as living spaces. While responding to these needs and expectations with the products they designed, the designers tried different materials. In this study, urban furniture design and production studies were carried out with reactive powder concrete (RPB) and ultra high performance concrete (UYPB). Evaluations were made on workability, surface appearance and mold performance by working with different mold materials. Ultra High Performance Concrete (UYPB) are new generation composite with superior strength and durability properties. Developed products with RPC and UHPC instead of classic concrete, more aesthetic, resistant to harsh environmental conditions and vandalism, durable, lighter, less volume, easy to transport and easy to assemble urban furniture are offered to produce. The pouring of RPC and UHPC developed mixtures into small molds and the effect of mixing, placing, vibration and curing on product surface performance was investigated. In addition, RPC and UHPC was customized according to the product, added functionality, prototype product production and product quality and performance tests were performed on the prototype product.
