Abstract (EN)
In this study water disinfection was performed in batch reactor system containing silver ions (with low frequency) and in continuous flow reactor (high frequency) by ultrasonic method. The study was carried out at various ultrasonic frequencies, various initial bacteria concentrations and various concentrations in batch reactor system analyzing the effect of silver ion addition. The water disinfection study was carried out at various ultrasonic frequencies, various flow rates, and various temperatures analyzing also the silver ion addition. It was seen that the water disinfection can be provided and the efficiency of the systems can be improved by using ultrasonic systems. The studies were conducted using the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus.Key Words: Disinfection, Ultrasound, Silver ions, Staphylococcus aureus
