A model proposal for regulating and inspecting the maritime traffic in the application of national maritime policies

This thesis aims to build a model in accordance with the experience of the interviewers by setting forth the importance of the maritime safety, security and environment regulation and inspection policies on the national maritime power with a comprehensive literature review. For this aim, the research is achieved by using the grounded theory approach which is one of the qualitative research approaches. MAXQDA, the quantitative data analysis software, is used to analyze and code the observation and interview data. All the findings related to the codes which is obtained from the data analysis is presented as both descriptive and relational and as a result, "Maritime Safety Security Environment Policies Model" is obtained. Finally, it is presented the effect of the maritime safety, secuirty and environment policies of this Model on the national maritime power elements and their variables which is built in the context of this thesis.
