Abstract (EN)

This thesis is a research conducted on the interaction between Somali national cultural dimensions and leadership styles. The factors affecting the national culture in general and the effects of each factor will be explained in this research. The Somali national culture dates back to ancient civilizations such as Abyssinia. This culture has unique traditions and customs. At the same time it is possible to see the dominant leadership styles in the pre-Islamic and post-Islamic periods at national level. The dominant national culture of Somalia is a peculiar phenomenon and does not have much similarities or differences with the Islamic countries such as Africa or Saudi Arabia. This study was carried out with the question of the ways in which Somalia could influence leadership in the level of enterprises or organizations. How does this national cult interact with the leaders in the organization? Can Somalia's organizational leadership styles be defined? In the context of the questions in the forms, firstly a literature was made. A study was designed to explore the Somali-specific situation. The general conclusion from the nation is that it observes the clan and pastoral leadership styles in Somalia and these styles can be explained by the cultural structure of the country and the level of integration into capitalism. In this case, the new Somalia has led to a new culture and leadership styles. While the culture in the country cannot be said to be pure Islamic culture, we cannot claim that the original African culture is also present. But the current national culture of the country is not a purely African culture, but a culture that is not applied to strict Islamic rules such as Saudi Arabia. Organizational leadership shows that there are two major leadership styles in the country; Clan leadership and Pastoral leadership styles. The Somalis consist of tribes. Each tribe has thier cheif as a leader. This tribe leader is chosen from within the same tribe. Another leadership style is Pastoral leadership, which is the leadership style of the nomads.
