Abstract (EN)

This study has been conducted to investigate an international environmental education project, which Turkey had met in 1995, The GLOBE Program, time is spent in the travel and the current situation in schools. And GLOBE?s efficiency in the environmental education was also investigated.In the first section of the research, the state, aim, importance, limitations and assumptions of the problem have been discussed. In this section, a brief information has been given about the research.In the second part of the research; it is focused on the environment and environmental issues which human has around the basic concepts; and a detailed research about the concept of environmental education has been made. The importance of environmental education and the situation that Turkey has been in environmental education have been mentioned.In the third section, model of the research, the universe and examplification, have been described. Also in this section some information is given about how data is collected.In the fourth section, it is given place to the interpretation of the data obtained in the result of sending the questionare by the internet to get the viewpoints by contacting with GLOBE teachers who took part in program in various parts of Turkey. In addition, there is data obtained from the interviews made in the Ministry Of Education?s Department of Foreign Affairs.As a result, cause of many GLOBE school never be applied or leaving after a while; has been researched and some mistakes or missings have been releaved.
