Abstract (EN)

Crimes regulated under international law are acts that disrupt the peace and security environment of the international community and victimizes the international community as well as the civilians and living beings exposed to the crime. Regulations have been made within the scope of Humanitarian Law, (Conflict Law) and International Criminal Law due to the violations of rights experienced especially by disadvantaged groups in conflicts of interest or internal conflicts of states. Although war crimes, one of the international crimes, have a history as old and deep-rooted as the history of humanity, they have started to be examined within the scope of international law, especially towards the end of the 19th century, and within the framework of legal regulations and rules have been established in this regard. In our study, war crimes, which are accepted as crimes under International Criminal Law, are explained in the light of the regulations of these war crimes in international conventions and the evaluations in the ad hoc courts established to try international crimes and finally in the International Criminal Court, which was established permanently. In the third part of our study, the concept of refugee status is analyzed in detail. In the fourth and final part, the refugee problem caused by war crimes is analyzed.
