Abstract (EN)

Migration is defined as people's movement from where they live for short, medium or long-term due to economic, social, political or cultural reasons. People can migration individually or in groups. A type of migration, international migration is heavily affected by globalization. In this sense, globalization affects people's decision about where to migrate and how to learn the living condition of that region. Furthermore, changes in economic, social and political characteristics of a country triggered by globalization affect both sending and receiving countries. Throughout history, people have had to migrate to other countries at times due to economic, political, and social conditions or wars and conflicts in their countries of residence. Thus, many civilizations have had to and still experience the phenomenon of migration. International migration theories allow both explaining and understanding migration movements emerging due to various reasons. Furthermore, these theories help forecast future migration movements, their form as well as consequences. KEYWORDS: Migration, International, Theory, World, Globalization
