Cooperation in the struggle against irregular migration in international law

Migration is a phenomenon that has been going on since the past. Today, migration movements have an international character. In order to prevent these intense migration movements, individuals tend to irregular migration for reasons such as limiting regular migration, applying migration quota, increasing the security of their borders, and this situation harms both states and individuals. States have chosen the path of cooperation to combat irregular migration, which has become a common problem with the increasing tendency towards irregular migration. Because regularization of immigration, not destabilizing the receiving states, and ensuring the integration of immigrants and citizens are issues that can be solved by international cooperation of states. Although states have adopted the idea of international cooperation in the prevention of irregular migration, a fully effective cooperation between states has not been achieved yet. States prefer to conclude international agreements or to participate in the work of international organizations to ensure cooperation. With the readmission agreements, which are accepted as a basic tool in the fight against irregular migration, it is aimed to make the return of irregular migrants under humanitarian conditions. Another preferred way is for states to participate in the work of international organizations. International organizations have been established in order to make the cooperation established between states permanent. The fact that migration has become international has been reflected in the field of activity of international organizations, and organizations have started to work on migration. Although there is not yet a basic organization for migration, migration is included in the field of activity of many international organizations.With this study, it is aimed to examine various aspects of international migration in a single work. Although there are many studies on migration, these studies do not generally cover all aspects of migration.
