International construction agreements and arbitration in dispute resolution

Because of the growing population and its natural output of accommodation demand, construction work has rapidly grown in our country and Turkish constructors transformed the experience that they gained since 80s into new business in forms of international projects. On the other hand, the construction business conserved its position to become the leading business line in Turkey. It is a significant fact that effects the Countries to increase their international trade volume by attracting foreign investments, their effort to provide better legal security in terms of bilingual investment treaties. Growing trend of the International arbitration is also dependent on this fact and gives companies the opportunity to decrease their risk for the overseas operations and increase the volume of their business. That is why, arbitration trials are much more rapid and efficient compared with the legal courts' trials. International funding entities are the other parties who are taking the advantage of the international arbitration in terms of limiting their risks on funding the construction investments and they offer some advantages to their customers as like as simplifying the procedures to use the loans and applying low interest rates to the credit loans. It is considered that that, this win-win situation will likely accelerate the growing trend of the international arbitration because of these benefits.
