Transportation obstacles in international road transport of goods

In international road transport, obstacles such as delays at border crossings, disruptions in customs procedures, and the inability to complete deliveries due to political or economic reasons are common challenges. These obstacles disrupt the logistics and legal processes, often leading to disputes between the parties involved. Within this context, Articles 14 and 15 of the CMR Convention are thoroughly analyzed to address the legal implications of transport and delivery obstacles. The study examines how these obstacles shape the legal responsibilities of carriers and consignors during the transportation process and provides a detailed analysis of the legal framework surrounding international transport. This thesis focuses on the resolution of disputes arising from transport obstacles and the role of the CMR Convention in addressing these issues.
