Abstract (EN)

In general, entrepreneurship is an emotion that brings together a person's needs, life goals, and expectations into a single process or activity. Universities offer a wide variety of resources and skills that help foster entrepreneurship among young people. The main purpose of this research is to examine the entrepreneurial tendencies of international students at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University, to identify the factors that shape their desire to have a job and their decisions. In this study, the approaches of a group of international students were analyzed in order to determine the effective factors in creating or inhibiting the entrepreneurial tendency of international students. The research has some limitations in terms of being conducted in a certain time period, being applied in a certain geographical region and being based on the perceptions of the respondents. The sample of the research consists of 107 international university students studying at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University. Within the scope of the research, a questionnaire based on online questionnaire technique was applied to participants with various demographic characteristics. The data obtained from the research were transferred to the SPSS 22 program and analyzed. Here, the frequency distributions of the results obtained from the questions in each section were calculated. Afterwards, Mann Whitney U Test and Kruskal Wallis H Test were used to measure the effect of demographic data on the scales. As a result of the research, it was determined that the students were at a high level of entrepreneurship. It was determined that female participants were more aware of entrepreneurship supports and investment incentive opportunities in Turkey than male investors. In addition, unlike other studies, it was found that the entrepreneurial tendency of female participants was higher than male participants. In this study, it was determined that there was no significant difference between the entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs in their families in terms of entrepreneurship tendency scores.
