The place and importance of international organizations in the international system: In the example of the United Nations

In this thesis, the role of international organizations in the international system is examined in the example of the United Nations. International organizations began to be seen with the emergence of the nation-state and its domination of the international system. Over the years, different international organizations operating in many fields have emerged. At the head of these organizations, we can show the United Nations, which is the most comprehensive organization ever established. We can also say that this organization, whose main task is to maintain peace and security, carries out activities in many other fields. There have been negative criticisms of the United Nations in many areas, especially in the maintenance of international peace and security. In the thesis I have done, these negative criticisms have been addressed and different ideas have been expressed about the future of the United Nations.
