Abstract (EN)

The first phase of the phenomenon of globalization, which spreads over the whole world after 1980, is economic globalization, which means, liberalization in trade. Globalization, which can be explained as removing the barriers to international trade, facilitating the provision of resources, making the world a single market with the transfer of information and technology, and increasing the interaction between people, states and societies on the globe, makes the countries closer culturally and makes them politically and economically interdependent. International trade is a sub - area of international economics that deals with the purchase and sale of goods and services between countries. International trade can be defined as the foreign trade of a country or its trade activities of a country with other countries based on some certain policies. International trade, which has gained place since the beginning of civilization, has gained international importance with the phenomenon of globalization, and has increased its awareness both in international diplomacy and academic literature, is closely related to many sectors in a country's economy. A country's aim is to increase its global competitiveness as politically and economically. Recently, with the increasing emphasis on the international trade training in Turkey, undergraduate, graduate (master's and doctoral) programs have been opened in many universities and specialization in international trade in private and state institutions has gained importance. The aim of this study is to make a bibliometric analysis of articles, papers, books, book chapters and the field of this type of study obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection database from 1980 to today which belongs to the international trade department which must be supported academically throughout the world. It is planned to obtain relational status on institutional and individual basis with the help of bibliometric analysis. The study data consists of 18,521 articles, 1,693 papers, 844 book reviews, 544 review articles and 44 book chapters scanned in all indexes under the title of "international trade" in the Web of Science Core Collection database. As a result of the bibliometric analysis, the number of publications, types of publications, publication languages, citation analysis, country collaborations, common citation networks and concept - subject orientations of the authors and countries were analyzed by years.
