Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is, separately putting forward the effects and results of the global and regional tendencies towards Turkey while international trade was evaluated from the sight of global and regional dynamics. In recent years, especially in an economic way, the concept of globalization and regionalism which gains haste in the framework of trade dynamics and the needs of fixing the role of Turkey in this "variation - progress" process are the main reasons that I have decided to study on this subject. Therefore, in the progress of globalization and regionalism tendencies, we have to clarify the discussion, whether if globalization and regionalism will be the complemental or destructive to each other and in this framework, this study has prepared for understanding the reality of Turkey's integration to global economic system by using the memberships of global and regional groupings as a catalyst. In international relations system, especially powerful political relations have became to remain behind the dynamics of economic developments, the effectiveness of the political economy increased in international relations and the role of the international trade in the world economic system has taken into account of Turkey's positions that has to be taken. Thus, at the end of this study, there are two important results (macro-micro) that have to be determined. These are; 1) With all its dynamics, regionalism is the legitimation and complementary process of globalization. To evaluate the regional economic integrations as a restrictive component of global trade process means to deny the prescience of the economic relations between continental economic blocs in the future. Because of that, any country or economic grouping can't resist against the abandoned autarchism practices. 2) Turkey, being a European Union member or not, has to develop its regionalism process by applying and harmonizing European Union standards into its structure. As a result of this, the harmonization to the global economic order will occur by the help of a regional economic integration model.
