Abstract (EN)
This research focuses on leadership styles (transformational leadership, ethical leadership, charismatic leadership, visionary leadership and wise leadership), leader effectiveness, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The study basically has four purposes (1) the effect of leadership styles on leader effectiveness, (2) the effect of leader effectiveness on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, (3) the effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment, and (4) mediating role of job satisfaction in international hotels. Research data were collected through face-to-face interviews with a questionnaire consisting of measurement tools which validity and reliability were proven in the relevant literature. A questionnaire form was used to collect data in the study. The questionnaire form includes questions about personal information and "leadership behavior scale", "leadership effectiveness scale", "job satisfaction scale" and "organizational commitment scale". The data were obtained from a total of 720 employees working in an international Turkish chain hotel. The data were tested with structural equation according to research purposes. In the study, it was found that charismatic leadership has a moderately positive effect on leader effectiveness; ethical leadership has a low negative effect, transformational leadership has a low negative effect, visionary leadership has a moderately positive effect, and wise leadership has a moderately positive effect on leader effectiveness. It has been determined that the evaluation of leadership styles has a high predictive power of leader effectiveness, and wise leadership has the highest effect on the explained variance. It has been revealed that leader effectiveness has a high-level strong positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. It has been determined that leader effectiveness has a weak positive effect on organizational commitment, and job satisfaction has a positive low-level strong effect on organizational commitment. Leader effectiveness and job satisfaction predict organizational commitment at moderate levels. In the effect of leader effectiveness on organizational commitment, job satisfaction has a moderately strong positive mediator effect.
