Abstract (EN)

Internationalization is one of the most interesting topics in national and international literature in today's world, where international trade has become almost a necessity for both businesses and economies. While internationalization is defined as the state of realizing the activities of the enterprise in foreign markets, the degree of internationalization is a measure of how much of the business activities abroad. The aim of the study is to examine the conceptual development of the degree of internationalization from the past to the present with the bibliometric analysis method and to determine the effect of the degree of internationalization on the business capabilities determined as a result of bibliometric analysis. As a result of bibliometric analysis, the subjects developing with the degree of internationalization were determined as market knowledge, export performance, customer relationship management, market orientation, ownership structure and experience, and the relationship between the subjects and the degree of internationalization was examined, hypotheses and research model were developed. The model, in which the degree of internationalization is taken as an antecedent, has been tested with the structural equation modeling (YEM) method on the automotive sector, which is the leader of exports in our country. Bibliometric analysis was analyzed using Scimat 1.1.04 program and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was analyzed using SmartPLS 3.2.8 package program. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that the degree of internationalization has a positive significant relationship on market orientation, customer relationship management, market knowledge and export performance. For the experience variable, the sectoral experience of the company was taken as a basis, the effect of sectoral experience on the model was investigated by multi-group analysis (MGA), and it was seen that the sector experience did not make a significant difference on the model. With this research, it is aimed to contribute to the literature by making bibliometric analysis of the degree of internationalization, and to be a guide for businesses and managers by investigating the effects of the degree of internationalization on businesses.
