The significance of rumours denied with Umûmü'l-Belvâ in terms of hadith method

The principle of umûmü'l-belvâ developed as a criterion of criticism by people from Hanefi Madhab and rumours which are not applied by them according to this principle are evaluated in terms of the study of Hadith. The study consists of the introduction part and the following three parts. The importance, subject, method, limits and sources are given in the intorduction part. Some information on metawatir, Famous Hadith and Isolated tradition are included in the first; some information on umûmu'l-belva is given briefly in the second; some denied rumours on account of umumû'l-belvâ principle are investigated and evaluated in terms of the study of Hadith in the third part. The chain of transmitter comparison parallelism and attestations from different sources, criticism and approval have been held with the help of impugning and approving works of narrators. The information and detections obtained through the study are evaluated as summary in the conclusion part.
