Özet (EN)

The aim of this thesis study is to investigate the psychosocial situations of unemployed university graduates. The study aims to study how educated individuals with diplomas who cannot find a suitable jpb in the labor market after completing their university education cope with the phenomenon of unemployment, from whom and how they receive support in this process, what are the most effective reasons for being unemployed and what kind of effects unemployment has on educated young individuals was examined in terms of. The sample of this study was applied on a voluntary basis by people who graduated from different higher education institutions in Turkey and were selected under the unemployed category in different statuses, regardless of age and gender. The research was conducted with a total of 32 participants using the indepth interview technique, one of the qualitative research methods. As a result of the research, the participants stated that they received material and moral support from their families during the period they were unemployed, their relationships with the environment changed negatively due to unemployment and they received negative criticism from the environment and their socil relations in daily life weakened. The majority of young people stated that they could not get sufficient scores from the KPSS exam and that they were in the unemployed category because they did not have sufficient experience and equipment in the job market. The majority of partici-pants stated that unemployment creates negative effects on daily life, both physically and mentally.
