Abstract (EN)

This research aims to investigate the relationships among perceived stress levels, digital game addiction and the level of mindfulness in the periof of emerging adulthood university students. The fundamental hypothesis of the study posits a positive relationship between perceived stress levels and digital game addiction with the mediating role of mindfulness. This research was investigated through Structural Equation Model with 554 participants. In line with the aim of the research, a study was conducted with university students who are in the age range of 18-25 and participants were subjected surveys on "Perceived Stress, Digital Gaming Addiction and Mindful Attention Awareness" scales. The research findings reveal that mindfulness plays a mediating role in the relationship between perceived stress levels and digital game addiction. In conclusion, this study elucidates the relationships among digital game addiction, perceived stress and mindfulness in emerging adulthood university students. These findings that are discussed in the light of the literature, contribute to the development of effective preventive and supportive strategies for university students in terms of digital game addiction.
